what’s your send out date
First things first, determining your send out date and ultimately when you should be getting started on the invitations. Are you planning a wedding in your hometown or where most guests live? Or are you planning a destination wedding where the majority of your guests will need to travel? Save the dates are typically sent 4-6 months before your wedding day and 6-8 if it's a destination. Invites to follow 8 weeks out.
when to contact us
It is best to get in contact with us no later than 6 months and as soon as 12 months to the big day (16 if you are in the destination category). Our process begins with a consultation packet to help us understand more about your big day. From there we will get a mood board started and then concepts will follow. You will have the opportunity to make some changes, select your favorite one and then it’s off to the presses!
Depending on how you want to address them you will either have the envelopes already printed with addresses through OGS, apply address labels designed and printed by OGS or send the envelopes to your calligrapher (you want to order extra envelopes for this in order to account for mistakes). And don't forget your stamps! There are so many beautiful stamps to choose from these days, everything from custom to vintage. We are here to help navigate your decision, don't hesitate to ask!
